Tom Sobieraj is a litigator with several years of experience in commercial, real estate, corporate litigation, and complex bankruptcy law. He regularly works to protect the rights of his clients, which include commercial property owners, management companies, and brokers in connection with landlord/tenant issues, mechanics liens, bankruptcy matters, and related issues. Tom also represents individuals, small businesses, and non-profits in contract disputes, breach of fiduciary duty claims, corporate disputes, professional negligence, and has experience in appellate matters. In addition, Tom advises clients on various corporate and business matters.

Tom is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, American Bar Association, Circuit Court of Cook County First District Advisory Committee, and is actively involved with The Harold E. Eisenberg Foundation’s Associates Board. Tom previously volunteered with the Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS) to provide pro bono legal services to the poor and working poor of Chicago in family law proceedings. Tom is also a former member of the Junior Board (formerly the Young Philanthropist Board) with Chicago Lighthouse, a non-profit organization serving the blind, visually impaired, disabled and Veteran communities.

Tom enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Amalya, his son, Bobby, and their dog, Dug, which involves a lot of reading together, swimming, and relaxing outdoors. In less hectic times, Tom enjoyed traveling to new cities to experience local cuisine and culture and looks forward to restarting those adventures together with his family.
